-
creating a realization among the
public that the federal government must reduce in size and scope in
order for the economy of the United States to survive;
-
providing the people of Georgia an
alternative candidate to the “big 2” with respect to whom they can feel
comfortable and conscionable about voting for;
-
reasonably reducing the size of the
federal government and its role in individuals’ lives;
-
changing the income tax, Social
Security and Medicare systems so that they are balanced, easily
understandable, practical and actuarially sound;
-
emphasizing national security and
protection from terrorism, but not practicing imperialism or anything
like it;
-
taking action to preserve air quality
and the environment in a practical manner;
-
helping solve the illegal immigration
problem; and
-
helping change the U.S. so that it can
potentially last indefinitely.
I don’t
believe that the U.S. should have an agenda of spreading democracy
throughout the world. Instead, I believe that the U.S. should
concentrate on maintaining a free market economy and maintaining the
strongest military for an indefinite period of time, while maximizing
individual freedom, minimizing taxes, protecting the environment and
exercising fiscal responsibility. If these goals are to be attained,
then our ship must change its course.
We need
leaders who are intelligent and who have the best interests of the
country at heart. Unfortunately, the primary goal of many of the elected
officials and candidates of the two major parties is to get elected or
to remain in power while satisfying the needs of the special interest
groups that gave them money so that they could grasp or retain power.
