Ask the Other Candidates

     I realize that many of the positions that I have taken, such as reductions to Medicare reimbursements, reduced foreign involvement, significantly penalizing employers for hiring illegal immigrants, simplifying laws (including tax laws) and elimination of farm subsidies, will not be popular with many people of our State. But, I sincerely believe that the proposed changes are in the best interest of the country and our State over the long term. Sacrifices are needed.

     I ask that you, whether you are a member of the media or an ordinary voter, to ask the other candidates for their positions on the important issues. I plan on doing so. And, if they give you a generic answer, such as “thank you for that excellent question; that’s a complex matter that I am now analyzing, etc.” I hope that you will take that refusal to deal with the issue into account when you vote.
